An organization I deeply connect with is The National Association for Self-Esteem (NASE).
NASE's webpage states, "[We] believe self-esteem is the experience of being capable of meeting life's challenges and being worthy of happiness. We also believe in personal responsibility and accountability."
This organizations purpose is to, "...fully integrate self-esteem into the fabric of American society so that every individual, no matter what their age or background, experiences personal worth and happiness. " Coming from an abusive home I've learned first hand how difficult learning to love and accept oneself can be. NASE is working on building self-worth and self-esteem one individual at a time.
By becoming a member of this organization you will help build the future generation to believe in themselves. There are various levels of donations so anyone is able to contribute to building self-esteems. You can become part of this revolutionary vision.

ReplyDeleteGood choice for an organization, especially considering your background. I am sorry that you had to go through that as a child. Unfortunately abuse is more prevalent than we know and you don't find out about it soon enough. I was blessed to be from a great home. I think everyone, no matter how perfect their life is, encounters self esteem problems at one point in their lives. This organization would benefit everyone. I am glad they promote personal responsibility and accountability. Too many do not realize this is important for the development of an quality society. What feature did you find most helpful about this organization?
I didn't know this organization even existed. Thanks for the information. How exactly does help a person develop self-esteem? Through readings, listening to lectures, classes to attend. This is very intriguing to me. I agree with Kim's comment that we all at times have self-esteem issues. That is wonderful that you have found an organization to help you strengthen your self-esteem and are willing to share your personal life to help others.
