Lucidchart allows users to pick from a variety of different templates which best suits their needs. Lucidchart also gives users the ability to simply create their own template if they can't find one that suits their needs. Their templates include but are not limited to flowcharts and organizational charts.
The one thing I learned that disappointed me is a user can sign up for the basic/basic plan for free. However, one needs to pay a monthly fee to have access to more options such as team collaborations. Although the team plan only costs $21 per month it's still a cost to students wanting to use this technology to the fullest capabilities.
Veronica, you are correct, it could be very disappointing thing to know if a website has a limitation of signing up for plan that is renewable each year or every month. It can be disappointing the sense that it restricts you to do something or use the website's functionality to the fullest. How can you relate lucidchart in your career goals or in your PLN? Is it not disappointing thing also that you're just limited to only visual presentations? How about the accessibility, can you access it with your other social media accounts?
ReplyDeleteActually, Lucidchart is connected to ISU's GoogleApps so you have access to an education account - a little bit more than the free one, but still not the full program - although, I have yet to run into a problem with Lucidchart.
ReplyDeleteTo access this using through ISU - log into your ISU gmail account on the internet (not through outlook). Click on the grid on the top right. Click on more and you should see a Lucidchart icon :)
It's great that a tool such that exists which can provide such features and save time or the need of different programs and time to create templates. I have used in the past many tools and websites that were great but some of them or maybe the most were blocking some of the options and features because of your free membership. The other tools - the one I like - were providing a great features that you can have a chance to access and use everything for a limited time. In my opinion, having a chance to try all the features would be better that paying first.
